Itinerary
Map:
Day 1: Welcome to Reno
Welcome to Reno, a miniature version of Las Vegas! We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to our hotel. Tonight we will meet up for our group orientation and Welcome Dinner! Afterward, we will hit the town! Believe it or not, Reno has a pretty cool gay scene!
Day 2: Lake Tahoe
Good morning! We’ll enjoy breakfast and take on Reno in that leisurely way that should follow a night out in a gay-friendly town. Today we are headed to our first Lake Tahoe Resort! We will have a quick drive to North Lake Tahoe, where we will have time to explore the location before we ski tomorrow. Try your luck at the casino, take a dip in the heated swimming pool, or enjoy a beverage around the fireplace. The afternoon is free to enjoy and explore your plan of action before hitting the slopes in the morning. We will meet up tonight and enjoy dinner together.
Day 3: Diamond Peak
After breakfast, it’s time to brave the mountains! Just a quick 5-minute shuttle ride and we will be hitting the slopes! Diamond Peak is great for all ski levels. There are gentle beginner/intermediate slopes, as well as advanced terrain offering challenging trails, tree skiing, open bowls, and glades! The layout is perfect for everyone to enjoy thrilling ski-runs and end at the same base area.
Day 4: Morning at Diamond Peak
Time for another morning on the slopes at Diamond. There are 655 skiable acres and 30 runs at an elevation of 6,700-8,540ft. Enjoy exploring the mountain and be sure to ski the 2.1 miles run before we head over to Squaw Valley for the next two nights. Once we are checked in, we will meet up for dinner.
Day 5: Squaw Valley Resort and Alpine Meadows
After breakfast, we will depart immediately from our convenient ski-in/ski-out resort. Squaw Valley is the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics, so you know the skiing will be fabulous! There is also the option to head over to Alpine Meadows on a 15-minute shuttle ride. Between the two areas, there are 42 chairlifts and 270+ trails across more than 6,000 acres of skiable terrain. We definitely need two days here to explore!
Day 6: More Squaw Valley Resort and Alpine Meadows
Enjoy your morning on the slopes, as this afternoon we will head back to Reno for our last evening together. We will have time to freshen up and enjoy our Farewell Dinner.
Day 7: Farewell
Enjoy our final breakfast before being transferred to the airport for our flights home.
