Activity Level 2 includes cultural tours with light adventure (and vice versa!). For hiking and biking tours, this may mean traveling for several hours on rolling terrain. We may be warm or chilly or find ourselves adventuring in the rain. For cultural tours, we may be spending several hours each day taking walking tours of historic landmarks, or exploring sites of interest. Activity Level 3 means exciting or strenuous adventure while experiencing the culture and natural beauty of our destination. For our active gay biking and hiking tours, we may be making steep climbs or rapid descents. We may experience high altitudes when adventuring in the mountains. We may face unpredictable weather conditions when outdoors, but we are enthusiastic about experiencing the natural wonders of the deserts, woods, and mountains we visit. We travel in the best possible season for visiting the destination, and encourage everyone to pack properly for the adventure. Activity Level 4 is for the hearty adventure traveler. These tours require excellent physical fitness, as we will be exploring harder-to-reach destinations and savoring the joys of pushing to reach a goal. Level 4 tours often have “high-adrenaline” component perfect for thrill-seeking vacationers, and we may have to endure very hot, cold, or unpredictable weather.
