As 2018 becomes just a memory and I look forward towards 2019, I think about all the marvelous things I might do. I mean, who doesn’t want to do great things in the New Year? I did manage to do some traveling during 2018, not as much as I would have liked, but enough to keep me busy and get me in a little bit of trouble!
But what will 2019 bring in the way of awesome trips or to die for vacations? I want adventure! I want excitement! I want to try new things with new people! I know it may sound subdued for some, but a great hot air balloon ride over New Hampshire’s colored mountains in fall. Or wine tasting in the Napa Valley. I have always wanted to climb Machu Picchu or canoe down the Amazon River.
Because I am somewhat of a movie nerd, I have always wanted to try going to New Zealand and visiting the Hobbiton Movie Set! Staying at the Green Dragon and having an ale! Watch out for the Orcs!! Maybe it would be awesome to do Cliff Jump Shenanigans extreme bungee jumping while I am there.
Or because of my movie nerdiness, a trip to Disney might be in store to blast off to a galaxy far, far away and experience the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Darth Vader and his storm troopers can’t catch me as long as I am speeding across the galaxy in the Millennium Falcon.
A cruise to the Caribbean might be what I need to relax. I have dreamed about lounging on the white sand beaches in Barbados. Touring the sugar cane plantations would be high on my list of things to see and do and enjoying the night life in some of the country’s hottest clubs.
Vacations don’t need to be busy constantly, I mean you may want to just rent a cabin in the mountains and read a good old classic novel, taking a nap in a hammock and hiking along the roaring river up to a thundering waterfall. Doesn’t that sound like a perfect and peaceful time? And for me, unplugging for a few days sounds like heaven!
He Travel always has awesome adventures happening and they plan almost everything for you, just make your reservations and show up on the day of departure. Now how much more easy can that be?
I’m ready to start researching all the magnificent travel opportunities that are calling my name. One or two or more just might make it on my to-do list for 2019. But I know that whatever I plan on doing it will be an adventure that I can’t wait to write about! Get out and enjoy your own adventure in 2019!!
