Key West: Florida gay marriage pioneers!
Based on a clear statement by a Federal Judge on New Year’s Day, my home state of Florida can no longer prevent gay marriages, so it was with great honor and privilege that I was present at the first official wedding of a gay couple in Florida at 12:01 am on January 6. National and local press was abuzz with the news. See the video here!

In December, Cuban President Raul Castro and US President Barack Obama simultaneously declared the start of easing American relations with a country that is much closer to my home than any large city in Florida.
