Zachary’s Notes – January 2024 – New Year’s Resolutions, and Customer Appreciation

January 9, 2024 by Zachary Moses

I spent New Year’s Eve in Cedar Key, FL with my wife Trisha.

We enjoyed a potluck dinner at the local community garden. We met loads of hippies, snowbirds and locals. It was unseasonably cold. I read my previous New Year’s resolutions, and I had specifically set the goal of spending more time in warm weather during this winter. Yet there I was one year later, in Florida, but very cold.

In fact, our house in Florida was freezing during this last cold snap. The house is still missing half the drywall and insulation, which I tore out after the Hurricane Idalia flood last August. It’s been a grueling several months putting that building back together. Now I’ve put the Florida project on pause, and I am currently located in an even colder Salt Lake City, Utah.

Home to HE Travel’s headquarters.

I am in Salt Lake for business meetings and to make some improvements to our office building. Once again, I’m in Utah during the January weather… I’m never going to get this resolution right, ha! Perhaps for this year, I’ll modify my resolution to something like “I resolve to spend at least *half* of the winter in a warm place.”

Like mini retirements from the cold. LOL, yes, this will work. 😊

I’ll be headed Back to Cedar Key in a couple of days.

It should be warm when I return. That’s a bright side, and on an even brighter side, I have been given the opportunity to lead our cultural tour of Bali at the end of January. Obviously, I took the gig. It will be so very warm there. 😊

I’m excited to go back to Bali!

I’ve been there before on our Indonesia Island Hop tour, which was awesome! However, this tour will delve into much more cultural depth about the island, its history and its friendly people. The tour is nearly sold out.

If you are thinking of making travel resolutions this year,

HE Travel has launched our annual January Customer Appreciation event. Everything on the entire calendar is on sale, and you get discounts if you bring friends. Your friends receive the same discounts as well.

This is the 52nd year HE Travel has been in business. We appreciate all our clients, and thank you for your continued interest in our small group tours, and customized travel options.

Last Chance Tour Inventory Updates:

If you’re interested in joining me on our Bali Cultural Tour, departing at the end of the month, there is only one spot left in a room-share.

Also, our Jewels of India tour only has one spot left in a room-share.

Zachary Moses and HE Travel group pose in Bali, all men are in sarongs.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about these or any number of our international adventures. I hope to see you on tour!

Warmly,

Zachary Moses

About Zachary Moses

Zachary has done every job at HeTravel.com. He started in the marketing mailroom in 2010, and eventually worked his way up to serving 2 years on the board of directors for the National Tour Association and an additional two years serving as the CEO of HeTravel.com.

He ran for Governor of Utah as a Democrat in 2020, garnering international attention while running in this historically RED state.

During a 14-month long Pandemic-related forced "sabbatical," he returned to his passion of carpentry, having now restored several historic buildings. He also gave a TEDx talk in 2020 pitching an idea to save/restore the Great Salt Lake and other western saline lakes.

Zachary has returned to HE Travel, however, he is no longer the CEO and has now taken on the role of CXO or Chief Experience Officer.

Zach has been working with the company for more than a decade, and still leads tours, writes blogs, and speaks at international conferences.
