Labor Day 2020 Reflections on Travel in a Time of COVID-19

September 7, 2020 by Philip Sheldon

Labor Day Blog by Phil Sheldon HE Travel

As we pass Labor Day, it is a good time to take stock of the last six months and look ahead to 2021. In spring 2020, we at HE Travel postponed several spring tours to the fall. However, COVID rates remain too high both where our travelers are from, and in the destinations we visit. Therefore, we have postponed most 2020 tours until 2021.

Freedom … What does that word mean as we are half-way through this strange year during which The Novel Coronavirus/COVID-19 has dominated the daily news cycle? What does freedom mean for Americans on the 244th Anniversary of the founding of our unique and peculiar nation that is indeed exceptional in so many ways?  Freedom is embodied in the many small daily […]

Idaho Getaway Exploration

July 5, 2020 by Trisha Moses

After months in quarantine, it was extremely exciting to get away for a week. One of my favorite parts of my job is tour development. Due to COVID-19, I was eager to offer more domestic tours for clients that still have the desire to travel. We live in such a beautiful country and I enjoy exploring the place I call home. I picked a location that was isolated and would be a great place to unplug and unwind. A place that would be a welcomed and appreciated the change of scenery. Idaho was perfect!

Zachary’s Notes – June 7, 2020 – Antelope Island and Covid-19

Zachary’s Notes June 7th, 2020 I love the things I have accomplished during quarantine, Long overdue projects like finally painting our shed and building a new door to our cellar. I am now converting the cellar into my private home brewery for my cider, and experimenting with a mushroom/lettuce grow room, as the temperatures and […]

Tracking Trends as the World Emerges from COVID-19

Tracking-Trends-as-the-World-Emerges-from-COVID-19-HETravel-Blog-gay-tours

The last three months have been challenging for HE Travel, as with all our peers in the travel industry.   In mid-March, India had few known COVID-19 cases, but to be safe, we canceled the extensions for our Jewels of India tour. Our in-house flight specialists rerouted clients onto non-stop flights from Delhi to the US. This avoided the pandemonium in Europe the weekend that restrictions were applied to flights from Europe to the US. That same week we ended […]

Since the first reports about a mysterious new virus emerged in Wuhan, China early this year, I have been following daily news reports about its gradual spread around China and the rest of the world. I lived in China for a year, I have led over 30 tours there, and I have been to Wuhan […]
