HE Travel Forms a Smart Ride Team for 2015

April 22, 2015 by Zachary Moses

HE Travel has formed its first official SMART Ride Team to ride together from Miami to Key West in November to honor our friends and neighbors with HIV/AIDS. I’d like to personally invite all of you to join me for this great adventure!

Along with several of the HE Travel staff and guides, I will be riding this year for the first time. We’d love to have our travelers participate with our team as riders, part of the support team, donors and/or cheering us on during the Ride!

Maintaining the vision with which this event was started 12 years ago, all donations go directly to AIDS Service Organizations and are directed to prevention, education and direct services.

HIV/AIDS has severely affected everyone in our community. We are reaching out to our amazing base of travelers who have toured the world with us, and hope to have 20 of you join us as riders or support team members this year. If you can’t join us, we encourage you to support our efforts with an HE Travel team donation or donations to support the personal goals of individual riders.

This event attracts between 400 and 500 participants, but touches thousands more as the bicyclists travel down the Florida Keys, ending with a triumphant ride in unison through the streets of Key West. A closing ceremony of remembrance and gratitude takes place at the AIDS Memorial Pier near Higgs Beach in Key West.

This year the event orientation is Nov. 12 in Miami, Florida and the ride down the beautiful Florida Keys takes place on Nov. 13-14, 2015.

If you would like to join our team, follow either of the “click here” links below, and click the register button on the site. When you are selecting your team, select “HE Travel.”

I hope you can join me!

Warmly,
Zachary Moses

About Zachary Moses

Zachary has done every job at HeTravel.com. He started in the marketing mailroom in 2010, and eventually worked his way up to serving 2 years on the board of directors for the National Tour Association and an additional two years serving as the CEO of HeTravel.com.

He ran for Governor of Utah as a Democrat in 2020, garnering international attention while running in this historically RED state.

During a 14-month long Pandemic-related forced "sabbatical," he returned to his passion of carpentry, having now restored several historic buildings. He also gave a TEDx talk in 2020 pitching an idea to save/restore the Great Salt Lake and other western saline lakes.

Zachary has returned to HE Travel, however, he is no longer the CEO and has now taken on the role of CXO or Chief Experience Officer.

Zach has been working with the company for more than a decade, and still leads tours, writes blogs, and speaks at international conferences.
